Their two daughters, Cathy and Lori, are both teachers and also live in the Valley.

An avid basketball player, Dave has been a member of the “Lawrencetown Legends” Basketball team for over twenty five years. He is a chainsaw carver who enjoys the challenges of creating life sized characters. Dave continues to build and undertake creative ventures on the family land and in their home. He is a collector of artifacts and memorabilia and loves to escape “to the woods”. Dave continues his interest in local history.

Paulette is a published author and was involved in numerous educational and community organizations and conducted educational workshops throughout Canada and the United States. Two years ago, she developed a neurological disorder that has limited her activities. She now finds creative ways to use pictures and words to record her ideas and express her feelings especially through personal poetry. Paulette has a love for literature, gardening and used to love going for walks. She enjoys spending time at the family’s log cabin on the Annapolis River and being with family and friends.

Both Dave and Paulette enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren, Haley, Dillon and Kristen.
