Living Between the Covers

Living Between the Covers is a fictional story loosely based on Paulette’s childhood. Paulette began writing this story over twenty years ago when she visited her daughter Cathy’s grade six class during Education Week, when the theme was Libraries; A Time of Learning. Although this is a fictional story, memories and reflections from Paulette’s childhood came to her as she was writing; memoir and memory are blended together. Finishing the story has been a wonderful experience for Paulette. She was unable to do it herself due to medial issues but with her daughter Cathy’s encouragement, she was able to complete the story. Her daughter Lori used her artistic skill to make memories come alive and her husband Dave helped her get the chapters typed and edited which was 20 years in the making.
